Vaucluse / Luberon
The Abbey of Senanque, the Palace of the Popes, St-Benezet bridge, the clock
and the ramparts of Avignon, Colorado Provencal Rustrel, the ochre trail
in Roussillon, the ochre mine in Bruoux Gargas, the 12th century Cathedral
Basilica of Sainte-Anne in Apt, the village of Bories in Gordes, the resurgence
of the Sorgue in Fontaine de Vaucluse, the Luberon regional Nature Park,
the cedar forest in Bonnieux, and the many medieval villages.
At the heart of Provence
There are three "appelations" or official
wine designations
A.O.C Côtes du Rhône, A.O.C Ventoux, A.O.C Luberon
(Rasteau, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise, Chateauneuf-du-Pape
are all wines which come under the classification of Côtes du Rhône)

AOC olive oil from Provence, AOC Muscat du Ventoux (the most prestigious
table grapes), the purple garlic from Piolenc, truffles from the Mount
Ventoux, strawberries from Carpentras, cherries of the Vaucluse, the black
figs of Caromb, Cavaillon melon, asparagus from Lauris, saffron from Mont
Ventoux, candied fruit from Apt, honey from Vaucluse, berlingots from Carpentras,
aromatic and medicinal herbs de Provence (thyme, rosemary, savory, oregano,
basil ...), lavender, lambs from Sault and cheeses made from goats milk
and sheeps milk from the area of Banon.
